Why we are watching
A CRDT engine for JSON data — the local-first data layer the brief admits explicitly. No AI in it, and that is the point: it is what lets an application hold its state and stay useful without a round trip to a server someone else runs. Practitioners building local-first AI apps raise CRDTs unprompted, which is the standard the brief sets for an arguable link.
